WHAT IS CALVINISM: THINKING THROUGH THE BASICS
Does Calvinism paint a biblical portrait of God? Of humans? Are humans totally depraved to such a degree that God must pick who will be saved or not? Are we only made to feel that we have free, personal agency in the matter? What’s the most biblical way to interpret passages like Romans 9?
FOLLOWING JESUS IN A POLITICALLY DIVIDED WORLD
How should disciples of Jesus navigate a society clawing itself apart through politics? Should we disengage? Pick a side? Offer slogans which sound nice but express little? Insist that true Christians vote in such-and-such a way? Pursue tranquility by making contentious topics off-limits for church?
Following Jesus in a Politically Divided World suggests that disciples of Jesus navigate a politically divided world . . . by being disciples of Jesus.

N. T. WRIGHT: A THEOLOGICAL APPRAISAL
Free eBook at Renew.org
For a whole segment of Bible teachers and preachers, N. T. Wright is their go-to theologian, for whom if Wright says it, then it’s probably right. He is, for many, virtually a de facto Protestant pope: What Wright says the Bible teaches is what the Bible teaches.
That may sound like a bit of an exaggeration, and of course no one would say that’s how they view Wright. But in practice, it often plays out that way because his influence is that great. It’s that very fact, therefore, which merits engagement with his work. The sheer weight of Wright’s influence can lead folks into unconsciously thinking, “If N. T. Wright thinks that (whatever “that” is), then it’s probably correct…or at least it can’t be too wrong.”
So, has Wright understood the teaching of Scripture accurately? Are his applications of Scripture to the church today in line with what the text actually says?
